Creative Writing - Critical Workshop

If you've had some experience of creative writing and are looking for the next step then this course is for you. Get feedback from an award-winning published author and share your ideas and experiences with a group of fellow writers in a friendly supportive environment.

Course Content

By the end of this ongoing course you will:

Feel more confident in your skills as a writer

Understand how to engage your readers

Know how to structure your work

Have developed your skills in editing your work

Have amassed a body of your own original material week by week

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Not tutor approved. Suitable for those with some previous experience of creative writing and with good written and spoken English.

First Class Requirements

Something to write with, whether pencil and paper, laptop, electronic notebook or even phone. Learners should also bring a piece of their writing of around 500 words to share and discuss

Attendance Requirements

It is important to keep the momentum going and to establish the habit of writing regularly

Assessment Methods

Learners will be asked to state their goals at the start of the course and encouraged throughout the course to feedback to the tutor if they feel they are not progressing as they had hoped.
