AAT Level 2 Foundation Award In Accounting Software

The AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software provides an entry point for anyone wishing to start a career in accountancy or finance. With this qualification you can build on your knowledge of accounting software packages.

Course Content

In this course, you will learn practical skills such as entering accounting transactions and producing a range of reports using the software.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths. Accountants work at the very heart of a business and are expected to be able to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience.

First Class Requirements

A notebook, and a USB stick.
The tutor will advise you on the course materials, on the first day of the course.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance is essential.

Assessment Methods

The qualification is composed of a single mandatory unit, assessed in a single end-of-unit assessment.

Further Study Options

The skills developed by studying this qualification will enable a student to seek employment with confidence and/or to progress to the next level of learning.
A student completing this qualification will be able to use an accounting software package to perform accounting transactions. They will understand how to
process financial information in accordance with set procedures and schedules and how to provide information to colleagues, suppliers and/or customers
as required. The AAT Foundation Award in Accounting Software can lead to further study in bookkeeping or accountancy or to employment as:
a clerical assistant
a trainee bookkeeper
an accounts clerk
a finance assistant an accounts administrator.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
