This course is for anyone who is interested in an introduction to small business acountancy.
It will introduce you to basic accounting principles, practices and terminology.
It can also be an introduction to accredited accountancy and book keeping courses.
You need to be willing to complete homework outside of the course to fully benefit from the course.

Course Content

By the end of the course you will be able develop skills in accounting including basic accounting concepts such as:
Book keeping and accounting definitions
The accounting equation.
Double entry

Preparing a simple balance sheet.

Preparing simple accounts to record business transactions involving:
Capital
Assets and Liabilities
Stock
Revenue and expenses

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This course is suitable for anyone interested in an introduction to small business accountancy. No previous knowledge of the topics is necessary.
