This After Effects Course will give beginners new to After Effects CC the confidence to begin creating amazing motion graphics in a professional environment and produce smooth animation and special effects.

This course gives an introduction to the exciting world of motion graphics,
while emphasising its connection to the creative thought process.

Students will learn an introductory overview of After effects and some of the principles of good animation.

Principles of Animation
The After Effects interface
Importing & Organising media
Working with the timeline
Layers, switches and properties
Creating compositions
Creating keyframes
Animating properties and visual effects
Easing
Motion blur
Editing keyframes
Working with Text
Exporting - rendering, output and file formats

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This course is ideal for Graphic Designers, Illustrators or Video Editors with an interest in animation or motion design. This course will give you a real understanding of the software and allow you to begin creating your own unique work.

You will need to have good computer skills and desirably have existing skills from a software application such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop or other motion graphics programmes.

Assessment Methods

Constructive feedback will be given on work carried out on the course to support your development.
You will need to complete an ILP

Additional Information

For this course, upon enrolment you will be given a student email address which can provide a
eligibility for the Adobe Educational Software discounts or for the Adobe Creative Cloud which After Effects is a part of.
You will then be able to download After Effects with the education license.

as outlined on the Adobe website
