An introductory course aimed at anyone interested in film editing.

Course Content

Designed for anyone interested in exploring video editing, taking you from first assembly right through to the final cut and exporting. This course will move you through from a beginner?s level to an intermediate level in video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro by getting you to edit two different types of video products.

You will work with stock footage exercise files provided in the lesson to hone your editing skills and will be working with Adobe Premiere Pro Version 22.5

Session One: Interface overview, importing files into Premiere Pro, organising files, creating a sequence and building a first assembly of your video.
Session Two: Exploring and using different tools to trim, cut, add transitions and fine tune your video edit.
Session Three: Add Video effects to your sequence and explore basic colour grading and white balance.
Session Four: Continue with colour grading and explore basic sound mix editing.
Session Five: Add titles to your video and explore exporting options.
Session Six: Promotional Video First Assembly
Session Severn: Using keyframes to change effect?s levels over a period of time and explore editing mask effects in video.
Session eight: Use adjustment Layers and an in-depth exploration of colour grading
Session Nine: An in-depth exploration of sound mixing with different types of audio and green screen effects in video.
Session Ten: Further exploration of titles and adding subtitles. Final export

Course outcomes :

You will learn to use the Adobe Premier Pro interface to import files and edit footage.
You will cut, trim and arrange footage for different types of video products including a short entertainment video and a short promotional video.
You will learn to apply and add transitions, effects and text to video and audio.
You will move from a beginner?s level to an intermediate level in sound mixing and colour grading.
You will learn how to export video files for different platforms and social media.
You will improve your editing skills and techniques over a range of formats.

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
