An introductory course aimed at anyone interested in film editing.

Course Content

Designed for anyone interested in film editing, taking them from first assembly right through to final cut and exporting

Session One: Interface Overview; Importing; Sorting; inserting; First Assembly;
Session Two: Trimming, Cutting, Fine Tuning the edit
Session Three: Transitions; Sound Mix; Effects
Session Four: Colour Grade; Titles; Exporting

Course outcomes:

• You will learn to use the Adobe Premier Pro interface to import files and edit footage
• You will cut, trim and arrange footage
• You will learn to use transitions and filters and add titles
• You will carry out a basic sound mix and export media onto different platforms.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
