Adult Irish Dance

This course will be delivered online.

Irish Dancing is an energetic dance, great for fitness. You will be introduced to Traditional Ceili dancing, they will learn basic dances in a Reel and Jig times and work as a team. In the course we focus on body coordination, stamina, foot work, rhythm, technique and dance memory.
Join dance classes and became a part of our growing community, dance with us to build your self-esteem, relief your stress, improve your physical and mental health, muscle toning and build your energy level. Classes are fun, enjoyable, great social dancing and opportunity to meet new people.
Bring a bottle of water, small towel. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes with a small heel. Dancing pumps, dance runners, sports clothes are suitable.

You will learn the basics of the Ceili Dancing

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

The course is suitable for you even if you have never danced before, or if you have a little dance experience. No partner required. All adults, seniors in any gender are welcome.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.

You will be assessed by observation, homework task and discussions during course. You are also asked to contribute views via questionnaires at end of course.
