Beginners Please. Taster - Improvisation, Performance and Method Acting

This taster course is an introduction to techniques and ideas that you will find on the acting/ drama courses at college. You will start off with a look at improvisation and then devise short script working on the short script we will examine the basis of method acting ideas such as obstacles, tactics, and objectives and then use this to develop a performance.You will look at movement and voice and then give a short performance
There will also be a discussion of college courses and which ones would be suitable

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
