Building Resilience for Parents (Hillcroft Campus, Surbiton)

Building on resilience as an adult is vital to help to nurture resilient children, the course will evaluate strategies to boost parent/child resilience emotionally and socially. It will develop strategies to take away and practical skills to help you manage periods of high pressure, rapid change and uncertainty.

The course will take place on site at the Hillcroft campus. Class sizes will be kept small to ensure social distancing measures can be carried out.

Course Content

The course will explore making changes with lifestyle, health and mental well-being. Parents can develop their own self-esteem and confidence and support and teach their children resilience. No entry requirements, useful if you wish to work with young people or children or if you want to learn more about your child or support others.

We want to keep you safe while you are at RHACC and as such all on-site classes will be run under strict social distancing guidelines with smaller class sizes and additional hygiene procedures in place. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements. However, in order to help us support your learning we would encourage you to declare any learning, physical or mental health needs.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
