This qualification is aimed at supervisors and first line managers, and is intended for those people who need to maintain and develop the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations for which they are responsible. The course consists of 2 units - detailed below.

Course Content

This qualification consists of two awards that can be taken either at the same time or separately depending on your availability of time to study.
The two awards are: B01148 Personal development of a First Line Manager (Monday eves 6-9pm 6 weeks) and B01149 Improving Team Performance (Saturday 9.30-4.30 3 weeks). For more detail on each of these please look at their respective webpages.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should either currently be in, or aspiring to, a management role and should possess good standards of literacy and numeracy.
No specific prior qualifications, learning or experience are required.

Attendance Requirements

Tutorials and classes will be held every week. The classes will be run by your tutor who will work through the learning outcomes for each unit. The tutor will also explain the specific assessments for each unit and will agree deadlines with you.

Assessment Methods

The course is assessed by reports. Each unit is assessed by individual report. In addition to the course fee there is a £100 CMI annual registration fee payable on enrolment.
