The alarming increase in the number of children and young people presenting with mental health concerns has been well-documented.
This Level 2 certificate course is for those interested in gaining greater knowledge and awareness of the mental health concerns that many children and young people are currently experiencing.
On this course you will:
Learn about children and young people s mental health in context
Explore factors which may affect children and young people s mental health
Develop your awareness of children and young people s mental health concerns and the impact of these concerns
Learn how to support children and young people with mental health concerns
Course Content
In this workshop you will learn the uses of collage to improve mental wellbeing, gain personal insight, and express goals and emotions visually. This workshop is beneficial for counsellors looking to integrate collage and creative expression into their work with clients as well as for members of the general public who are interested in exploring collage for stress relief and personal growth.
At the end of the workshop learners will have gained an understanding of the research supporting artistic expression as a therapeutic tool, the mental health benefits of collage, and the process of creating a collage to increase wellbeing. At the end of the workshop learners will have a created a personal collage to take home.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

You must have a minimum of Level 1 English and I.T skills (Level 2 English skills desirable).
You will be required to complete a course application form and attend a short interview for approval for the course. The link to the application form will be provided when you apply online and book an interview.
Assessment Methods
Via an online learning platform, you will create a portfolio of evidence; your work will be assessed by your tutor. There is no exam for this course.

In addition to your formal assignments, through the creation of a Personal Learning Plan, you will set your own individual learning targets which will be reviewed during and at the end of the course.
