Computers for Beginners (Hillcroft Campus, Surbiton)
WD0074

(Women Only)

We are proud of our diverse learner groups, and range of support to enable access for all learners regardless of ability or background. However, we also recognize that some women benefit from the supportive and close-knit environment of a women-only class, which can help to develop the skills, confidence and ambition to succeed in mainstream education, work and community settings.

Some women have been socially marginalised because they left school with few or no qualifications, have a disability or have had their education or career plans disrupted by caring responsibilities. Some women have also experienced abusive or unhealthy relationships with friends, partners or family, and this can be an additional barrier to moving on.

Do you have little experience of using a computer and want to get more confident in using your computer at home or at work? This course will enable you to find your comfortable starting point and better understand some of the basic skills you will need. By the end of the course you will have the ability and self-confidence in using some of the simple functions of word processing and the internet. This course is taught in the class room in a socially distanced and safe setting at the Hillcroft campus.
