The courses aims to:

develop confident parenting through greater mindful engagement with your child
support parents through impartial advice and guidance
help parents create and maintain happy and healthy environments, social connections and emotional stability through trust and healthy relationships

Course Content

This course explores the parent and child relationship and is for those interested to find out more about how how to support your child and foster a healthy relationship with them.

This course will also be useful for those thinking of working with young people or children and those wanting to learn more about how to support others.

We want to keep you safe while you are at RHACC and as such all on-site classes will have additional hygiene procedures in place, as per government guidelines. Please note that if guidance changes, we may need to make changes to your course, such as reducing numbers attending onsite, or in the event of lockdown, postponing or moving the course online. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

There are no formal entry requirements. However, in order to help us support your learning we would encourage you to declare any learning, physical or mental health needs.

To fully benefit from the course you we recommend that you have Level 1 English (speaking, listening and writing) skills.

Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
