Cyanotype for Families

The Cyanotype workshop involves the process of contact printing with light-sensitive paper or fabric, using photographic negatives or making photograms of objects and other materials. This is ideal for experimentation as it easy to learn.

This one-day introductory workshop will provide you with an overview of the cyanotype process;

Course Content

Learn how to prepare your own light sensitive fabric and paper. Experiment with a number of alternatives of negatives to print with. Practise exposing and developing the paper or fabric to produce prints.

You will experiment with making A4 prints using foliage flowers, shapes, paper cuts outs and photographic on transparent paper and will leave with some completed cyanotypes prints.

Entry Requirements

This workshop is for families from 6 - 12 years and must be accompanied by an adult. Price includes one adult & one child

First Class Requirements

Materials included apart from paper which is available to buy on the day.

Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy
