Dramatize Your Life

Create an original play, out of your own life stories; and perform it with your fellow learners, in the RHACC Theatre, at the end of the course

Course Content

This is a theatre devising course - a collective creation of an original piece of theatre, by the performing ensemble.
It will include:
- physical actors' training
- improvisation
- actor-creator training
- learners-led creative methodologies
- learners' own personal stories, communication excerpts and inspirational objects
- performance for an invited audience in the RHACC state-of-the-art Theatre

We want to keep you safe while you are at RHACC and as such all on-site classes will have additional hygiene procedures in place, as per government guidelines. Please note that if guidance changes, we may need to make changes to your course, such as reducing numbers attending onsite, or in the event of lockdown, postponing or moving the course online. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

You must be fit enough to partake in a physical warm-up, as well as to sustain a physical presence for two hours... but not necessarily dance or make any strenuous movement.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance throughout is crucial for a successful outcome, as it contributes to a symbiotic process and a rehearsal for a public performance.

Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
