Fast Track to Entrepreneurship (for ESOL learners)

Do you have an entrepreneurial idea but don't know where to start? This short, intensive course will give you the tools to kick-start your career as a self-made entrepreneur in a foreign country.

Course Content

During the course you will learn:

- specific business vocabulary to support you in your activities;
- how to communicate effectively in different situations;
- how to start a business from scratch;
- the main elements of a business plan;
- what is an elevator pitch and how to create an effective one;
- how to navigate uncertainty and be successful

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements, but it is advised some proficiency in English, at least at Entry 3 level.

Attendance Requirements

During the course you will learn: - specific business vocabulary to support you in your activities; - how to communicate effectively in different situations; - how to start a business from scratch; - the main elements of a business plan; - what is an elevator pitch and how to create an effective one; - how to navigate uncertainty and be successful.

On successful completion, you can develop your skills further by applying to one of our courses in ESOL, Business Start-up, Management and Leadership, Accounting, etc; please refer to our website for a detailed list.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
