Flavours of India - Cookery Course

This beginners course covers exciting recipes and a way to master simple Indian dishes with ease. Unlock a treasure trove of mouth-watering, spicy new recipes, and dive into the world of Indian spices. You will learn to make a selection of authentic Indian dishes using variety a preparation technique.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

First Class Requirements

You will need to purchase the ingredients for each session (except the first session) and bring an apron, tea towel and container/s to take the food home. For some of the dishes you may need to bring appropriate pans or dishes in which to cook them, as advised by the tutor.

You will need a pen for taking notes.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance is essential.

Assessment Methods

The tutor will work where possible on a one to one basis to assess your cooking skills and give advice on how to improve. You will have an Individual learning plan to record your progress and the tutor will give you a feedback on your progress. You will be taught by clear demonstrations in the group and one to one teaching.

Additional Information

As a result of the government’s closure of schools and colleges, some of our courses will be delivered through remote learning including video conferencing, (using Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
