French Poet Singers (The New Generation)

You are keen to learn about contemporary French singers?

Here is the opportunity to know about three poet singers of the new generation Benabar, Zaz, and Vianney .

This course will be delivered online using Zoom or Teams portals.

Course Content

As part of this course you will :
study a different singer each week.
Study and analyse content of selected songs in their historical and political context.
Have the chance to share views and opinions.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

Although you are not expected to be a fluent speaker to join the course, a good knowledge of French language is recommended. Ideally minimum intermediate conversation level (year 5) or equivalent.

Attendance Requirements

Attendance is essential to acquire knowledge, language skills and guarantee progress.

Assessment Methods

Learners will discuss their goals with the tutor who will assess their progress during the course through in-class observation and a range of activities.

Further to completing the above course you can join other French cultural workshops, Grammar workshops or conversation courses.

Students will receive a message from their tutor prior to session with instructions on how to join the online session.


Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
