Hardware & Networking - Level 2 Certificate in Digital Skills OCNLR

This hardware and networking course is underpinned by CISCO academy materials from 'IT Essentials' you will develop an understanding of hardware and networking concepts in this intensive course which will also give you an opportunity to gain a certificate. You will learn the practical skills of computer assembly, repair, building a basic network, developing a basic application to simulate a network, basic cyber security and learn techniques for online collaborative working. All students are given a CISCO academy account which also enables them access to free online courses.

Entry Requirements

Entry is by tutor approval only. Students should have a good knowledge of ICT systems and/or already work within the IT industry.
Learners will need a good standard of literacy and numeracy prior to considering this course. You will need a minimum of Level 1 in both due to the written nature of some of the assignments.

Attendance Requirements

Attendance is mandatory for this course, you are expected to attend every session.

Assessment Methods

Through Practical work and written reports.
