This course will be delivered online.

This is a 6 week roll on/roll off course. Enrolments for this course will start the week commencing 11th September 223 and the last enrolments will be the week commencing 27th May 224. You can enrol on this course at any time up to this date.

You will study from home at a time that is convenient for you. You will study on our new online learning platform and be assigned a tutor for occasional one-to-one support.

This is a short distance learning course to support adults who would like increase their confidence in maths or refresh their maths skills before embarking on a formal maths qualification.

Course Content

The course will cover everyday maths skills and many elements of the core maths curriculum. You will cover: Using numbers and the number system, Using common measures, shape and space, Handling information and data and Solving mathematical problems and decision making

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you will be given an initial assessment at the beginning to determine your current level. Course materials will be allocated to you based on your current level.

Assessment Methods

There is no formal assessment on the course but you will complete a short quiz after each completed section. We will also complete a PLP (Personal Learning Plan) with you as we progress through the course.

Further Study Options

You can follow this course with an IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) session with an experienced Maths tutor who can guide you to other courses to further develop your Maths knowledge base and maybe even achieve a qualification.
