Interior Design - Drawing and Presentation Skills

This course will cover all stages of visual presentation as part of the interior design process, including understanding why drawings are made and the techniques and qualities that go into making good drawings. You will enhance your presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas in
2D/3D. Effective and successful drawing helps build self-confidence and confidence in the ideas one is proposing and establishes credibility with clients.

Course Content

This will be taught through various teaching methods such as presentation, demonstration, group and individual tasks and delivered by a professional with several years of experience in the field of design and construction.

Topics covered include:

- Introduction
-Contribution of computers to presentation.
-Carrying out a measured survey
-Handmade presentation techniques
-Developing a concept
-Presentation to clients and others
-Understanding Production drawings

Entry Requirements

Open to those interested in understanding all stages of visual presentation.

First Class Requirements

Pen, pencils, notebook, sketchbook

Other tools needed, tutor to advise in first class:
Measuring tools (tape measure), pencil, ink, scale rulers,an adjustable set square, coloured felt tips, graph paper, tracing paper, coloured tissue
paper, pastels, A3 paper, card to make models, metal ruler, scalpel, adhesive, liquid plastic, glue, and brush, plastic figures in different scales, white spray paint.
