This weekend workshop will introduce you to what bookkeepers and accountants do, and start to prepare you for your journey to a professional qualification.

Course Content

If you are interested in a career in bookkeeping or accountancy, or want to understand your own finances in preparation to starting your own business, this short introductory course is ideal for you. Bookkeeping and accountancy can offer you excellent job prospects – whether working for an employer or yourself. Furthermore, the right professional accountancy qualification could ultimately help you work your way right to the very top of an organisation.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

This introductory course is open to all. However, in order to progress to the Level 1 or Level 2 accredited accountancy courses you will need level 1 English and maths skills.

• You will create and review your own individual learning plan (ILP)

• Short tasks

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
