Course Content

Your tutor will assess your progress to see if you are meeting the learning outcomes for the course. You may also set your own targets around personal development and skills.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no entry requirements. This course is suitable for those who have not yet decided to pursue a career in early years and also for those students who feel they would benefit from improving their English before starting on qualifications in childcare.

First Class Requirements

You should bring a notebook and black pen to the first class.

Assessment Methods

You will be assessed by your tutor on your assignments and work in class. Your tutor will also assess your personal competencies and skills

Further Study Options

Once you have completed this course, you can apply for the Level 1.

Additional Information

Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
