Introduction to Massage Therapy (Hillcroft Campus, Surbiton)

(Women Only - Residential option)
This introductory course is ideal for anyone who wants to find out more about our Diploma in Massage Therapy course. The course will give you an introduction to both the practical and theoretical elements of massage.

Course Content

On this short course, you will gain awareness of the various massage therapies available, practice basic massage skills and techniques and learn some basic human anatomy and physiology. On completion of the course, you will be able to decide if our Level 3 Massage Diploma is the right course for you.

Entry Requirements

Level 2 or equivalent in English and good communication skills are desirable. More importantly, a willingness to participate and a commitment to learn.

Assessment Methods

Observation of practical tasks. Some written assessment.

Additional Information

Please note. On our Diploma course the learners wear uniform. For the introductory course we ask that you attend in appropriate dress, such as black trousers and simple black top. With low heel black shoes (no leggings, jeans or trainers). Please be aware that you will need to participate and experience treatment on yourself.

Most learners who opt to study on a residential basis can apply for bursary funding to pay their residential fees. For those who are not eligible, the costs are:
