Why Study This Course?
Come and join our small friendly group interested in practising the Italian Language by talking about topics of interest by reading articles, song lyrics and extracts from novels. This course moves beyond the basics of the language and will develop your vocabulary, grammar and confidence to express yourself more fluently in Italian and have a conversation with native speakers.
Our courses follow a communicative approach which will give you the skills to communicate effectively in Italian in everyday situations. Classroom activities in pairs and groups will help you acquire speaking and listening skills, and you will also develop your reading and writing skills. You will also explore a wider range of tenses.
Completion of Lower Intermediate Stage 1 or equivalent. This course is also suitable if you have completed GCSE or a CEFR A2 qualification recently and feel confident with the use of past and future tenses.
Learners will discuss their goals with the tutor who will assess their progress during the course through in-class observation and a range of activities. You will record and reflect on your progress in your Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
In your first lesson, the tutor will give you details of the textbook you will require.
Please note that tutors may occasionally be changed at short notice. While teaching styles may vary, we ensure consistent quality across all of our courses. For this reason, a change of tutor does not qualify for a refund.
