This course will help you understand how JavaScript interacts with HTML and CSS and what terms like scripting and client-side language mean.

JavaScript is a great choice for new developers who would like to start programing as no special tools are required.

Course Content

Basic programming concepts such as variables control structures, functions and syntax
Enhancing user interface on web pages
Working with the DOM
Debugging JavaScript

Entry Requirements

You must have a basic understanding of HTML, be able to use basic HTML tags to create web pages. This is covered on the Introduction to HTML and CSS course.

First Class Requirements

A memory stick to save work electronically

Assessment Methods

Assessment is ongoing by the tutor and through the completion of class exercises
