All the meals you cook are designed to be easily replicated at home, so you can enjoy your new skills every day.
You will develop independence, teamwork, and essential life skills. You will also improve your numeracy and literacy skills while having fun in the kitchen.
This course covers:
Learn kitchen safety, hygiene and equipment use
Prepare simple, healthy meals using step-by-step recipes
Measure ingredients accurately and follow basic cooking methods
Explore healthy eating and food groups
Build confidence and independence in the kitchen
Practice presenting and serving food
Replicate meals at home
You will develop independence, teamwork, and essential life skills. You will also improve your numeracy and literacy skills while having fun in the kitchen.
A detailed initial assessment will be carried out to determine your learning needs and ensure the course is right for you.
The initial assessment normally takes up to 1 hour.
