Why Study This Course?
Practical Maths for Life and Independence is designed for learners who already have some understanding of basic numbers and would like to build their confidence using maths in everyday situations. The course focuses on developing practical maths skills that support greater independence at home, in the community, and in future learning or work. Learners will take part in practical and engaging activities linked to real-life situations such as shopping, budgeting, measuring, telling the time, and solving everyday problems. The course helps learners apply maths skills with greater confidence while continuing to build independence step by step in a supportive environment.

Classroom based face to face teaching
Complete an Initial Assessment via MS Forms or in hard copy. Return to Supported Learning. Attend an interview with a member of Supported Learning Team
Assessment is via a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of personalised learning goals.
