Preparing for Retirement

This course will be delivered online.

Part of retirement planning is figuring out if your retirement income will last; this short session will give you some insights on how to determine your financial goals for retirement, and how to put a plan in place to achieve them.

Course Content

In this workshop you will learn different ways to save, invest and grow your wealth over time, including:
- ISAs, Self-Invested Pensions Plans, and mutual funds;
- simple ways to invest in stocks and shares, and financial products available;
- investing in real estate: REIT and buy-to-let;
- aspects of legislation and taxation.

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
