This course will give you an introduction to a career in adult social care working either in residential care facilities or domiciliary care
Course Content
You will learn what it is like to work with adults in a caring capacity. Topics will include: Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Communication and physical care.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
The course will prepare you to undertake a level 2 qualification and is ideal for learners who need to improve their level of English
You should have English at entry level 3 or level 1
First Class Requirements
You should bring a ring binder, black pen and A4 notepad
Attendance Requirements
You are required to attend all sessions, on time
Assessment Methods
You will be assessed by your tutor on your written assignments and work in class. Your tutor will also assess your personal development, competencies and skills.
Further Study Options
Once you complete this course your tutor will advise you if you are ready to progress to level 2
