Why Study This Course?
This practical performance course develops ensemble playing and live performance preparation skills. Repertoire is selected and arranged around RHACC Open Mic themes throughout the year.

-Perform at an RHACC Open Mic event
Ensemble techniques, rehearsing repertoire, song structures and arrangements, stagecraft, musical communication, stylistic awareness and preparation for live performance.
Not suitable for complete beginners. Learners should understand basic song structures, chords and rhythms and be performing at post-beginner or intermediate level. Guitarists and bass players are particularly encouraged, although drummers, keyboard players, vocalists and other instrumentalists are welcome.
No formal examinations. Progress is monitored through participation, rehearsal contributions, skill development and performance preparation.
Through practical workshops, guided rehearsals, collaborative performance projects, tutor feedback and preparation for public performance.
