Self Shiatsu
S01112

Special moments are now rare but they are still the most important thing we have in life. Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique done through clothing; inviting you to have a relaxing healing experience.
Through touch we reawaken our sense of belonging to this greater wholeness. This will take place as we learn how to apply gentle pressure along the body and perform delicate and calm movements and stretches of the limbs. Sitting comfortably either on a chair or a cushion on the floor, learning the basics of Shiatsu is very easy.
All you need is some time and the willingness to follow and observe your breath as you connect with the various part of the body through your touch. It is a journey of personal sensory experience about the healing power we all have within our touch, and the humanness of sharing our presence. At the end of it, you will be able to experience that Shiatsu massage is a great help to you when you experience minor ailments such as headaches, stress, abdominal cramps and much more. This hands-on Shiatsu course is for anybody interested in human contact through the healing power of touch.

Every week we will explore how to work with the various energy systems Each system correspond to an emotion according to the philosophy of traditional oriental medicine where shiatsu originates from.
Each system has a relationship from the inner organs to the channel of energy manifesting under the surface of the skin. By apply pressure to specific points located along the body we awaken sensations to feeling we might have disassociated from or simply we awaken and invite the general muscular tension to release.
