Spanish Year 5 - Introduction to Conversation Part 2

This is the part 2 of the year 5 introduction to conversation.
At the end of this course, you will be able to form and express opinions with improved confidence & fluency while using a wider range of vocabulary. You will improve your accuracy with relevant grammar work.
The course will still include a wide range of activities related to social, cultural and historical aspects of the Spanish speaking world.

Course Content

You will carry on improving your command of the language and widening your knowledge of culture by the study and discussion of a variety of texts and audio / video reports.
The learning activities used in class will generate a relaxed, friendly and motivating atmosphere enabling you to fulfil your potential, increase your confidence and develop fuller appreciation of Spanish language through the medium of higher level language work.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on the start date of the course.

Ideally you must have completed the part 1 of that level, or at least 4/5 years study or equivalent knowledge of the language. If you need to check your existing level, there is a self- assessment test available from

First Class Requirements

Just bring a pen and paper.

Attendance Requirements

Regular attendance strongly recommended to improve your language accuracy and confidence to speak.

Homework and monitoring progress in class.

Additional Information

Tailor-made resources for each session will be sent a week in advance in order to enable students to study resources and improve their confidence.
A grammar book may be recommended to complement your studies.


Remote Learning:
Some of our courses are now delivered through remote learning, including video conferencing (using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype) and email contact with your tutor.

If your course is indicated as an ONLINE COURSE, you will need either a PC (with a camera and microphone), laptop, tablet, smartphone and access to the internet to be able to join the lessons. Lessons will run at the published time – so be ready and set up to join in.
