Why Study This Course?

Team Sports is an exciting and active course designed for adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are interested in developing sports skills, teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles in a supportive environment. Delivered over 3 hours a week across the academic year, the course introduces learners to a range of team sports including football, rugby, cricket, and other group sporting activities.
Learners will take part in practical games and fitness activities while also exploring the theory of sport, including teamwork, communication, rules of games, healthy living, and sportsmanship. The course encourages learners to build confidence, social skills, resilience, and independence through participation in sport and group activities.
There will also be opportunities for learners to volunteer at local sports venues and community events, helping them develop workplace skills, responsibility, and confidence within real-life sporting environments
