It can serve as an influential tool in your pursuit of finding the perfect job if utilized effectively. This article aims to provide guidance on harnessing social media platforms for successful job searches.

Course Content

Using social media sites as a networking tool can help you find unofficial job postings or find out about job openings through your online connections at the companies you are most interested in. Social media has become a way for professionals to network and “meet” hundreds of people. On this course we will be looking at the following

·         Help you to develop and showcase your “personal brand” or your online profile.

·         Connect you to opportunities that are otherwise never made available to job seekers because they aren’t posted on job boards.

·         Build your professional networking contacts, which are crucial to your job search.

·         Research industries, companies, and positions of interest.

·         Makes you visible to hiring managers, recruiters, and other decision makers.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you must have the ability to use a device to access social media accounts and/or create/edit social media accounts.

First Class Requirements

Pen and paper for notes.

Attendance Requirements

100% attendance is required.

Assessment Methods

All our classes are equipped with an interactive whiteboard making learning fun and more effective.

By the end of the course, you will be offered the opportunity to book a 1:1 session with one of our careers advisors to discuss your job search options in more detail.

Additional Information

You will be expected to supply your own additional resources ie basic stationary. Access to a PC, laptop or compatible tablet with internet is included for the online element of the course.
