Wild Life Drawing for Families

Wild Life Drawing is a drawing class with a difference. Instead of human life models, our subjects are real animals.

We’ll be making the most of the summer once again with our next class in the Richmond Art School courtyard – this time with donkeys and ponies! Two donkeys and one little Shetland pony will be visiting on Wednesday 31st July and we’ll have classes available for both families and adults. Attendees will be taught how to draw these beautiful animals, and we’ll look in detail at their anatomy, proportions and muscle structure. We’ll also learn about the origins of donkeys and ponies, their domestication by humans and any welfare issues affecting them across the globe. All materials provided and all abilities welcome.

This fee is for one adult and one child. If you'd like to bring another child, please book an extra child ticket.

Course Content

During the session, the class will be introduced to the animals with a short talk from the experienced animal handlers and everyone will able to study them closely. As well as drawing, we will be learning about their unique characteristics, origins and conservation issues facing the animals in the wild.
