Working in Hospitality

This course is for SEND learners only

Why Study This Course?

This entry-level vocational three-day programme is designed for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are interested in developing practical skills for the Hospitality and Catering industry. Delivered over three full days (9:30am–3:30pm), the course provides a supportive, engaging, and hands-on learning environment where learners develop skills in food preparation, working safely in a kitchen, serving customers, cleaning, clearing, and working as part of a team.
Alongside vocational learning, learners will build confidence in English, Maths, and Digital skills through meaningful real-life activities linked to Hospitality and Catering. The course also supports the development of communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, and independence skills that are essential for the workplace.
Learners will have the opportunity to work towards a Level 1 Health & Safety qualification (RQF), gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and behaviours that support progression into further learning, supported internships, volunteering, or employment within the Hospitality sector.
This programme also acts as a pre-cursor to working in Catering, helping learners explore future career pathways and prepare for progression onto further Catering and Hospitality courses or entry-level roles within the industry.
