Literature Appreciation

Together we will read and discuss extracts from the different forms of published writing - Poetry, Prose and Drama, some well-known, others not. The course aims to refresh our views on how trying unfamiliar writers and different reading experiences can be rewarding. There are no entry requirements, simply bring a curiosity about literature with you as well as a willingness to share your own experiences of reading.

This course invites you to 'taste' a selection of poems and extracts from poems to generate a discussion about why reading poetry can be a pleasurable experience.
