This course aims to build your confidence by giving you skills to use your computer and improve your skills with the internet. This course will be taught in a classroom with a socially distanced environment.

Use application software to create, edit and format data (Word Processing).
Create a File Management System.
Learn how to use the Internet for (eg online shopping and email).

This will give you the skills and confidence to improve your Computer Skills even further.
Digital Marketing and Social Media - Introduction
This is an introductory course to introduce learners to digital marketing and social media. We will aim to explain the terminology associated with Digital Marketing and give practical skills to also try out some of these practices by introducing to you to different software systems and social media platforms.
You may be starting and developing a business, or wanting to work in this field and need an introduction.
You may have completed a web design or mobile apps course and wish
to consider how to market your services or products.
Digital Skills - Award for Everyday Life (Entry 3)
The qualification aims to enable learners with limited existing digital skills to develop the to safely access opportunities presented online to improve their lives. Learners will learn how to develop their practical skills through step-by-step confidence building learning experiences that will act as a springboard to further learning and raised aspirations.
This course also prepares for progress to the Level 1 qualification (OCNLR Essential Digital Skills Qualification Level 1) which will give you the IT skills needed to move into administration, office or secretarial work.
Digital Skills - Award Taster
Come along to our informal taster to find out more about the Essential Digital Skills Qualifications. The college offers this course at entry 3(for every day life) and level 1 (for work). This taster is an opportunity to get an overview of both these courses and see which one is right for you.
Digital Surgery
Our 1-to-1 half-hour digital support sessions are based on our college site at Parkshot, Richmond and are run by our Tech Doctor - Elliot Hunter every Wednesday. After booking onto this session you will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself and your device and allocated an individual 30 minute slot between 2-5:00 pm. You will be asked to complete a disclaimer regarding the service. All sessions are conducted within Covid19 regulations in a sanitised environment.
