This is a short course which is designed to give you an understanding of the CELTA course. It will enable you to learn about what the CELTA course covers, in particular the demands of the course and finally what you can do after you have attained the CELTA qualification.

Create the Puppet Workshop

You will learn how to use puppets in all areas of the curriculum. This workshop, led by Arts Practitioner, Manju Gregory, is an active day for teachers and TA s working in nursery and primary. You will learn practical techniques for making and using puppets in your setting. Resources will be provided but please bring scissors, felt tip pens, pencils, PVA glue and tape. You could also bring any scrap material, buttons and ribbon. Please bring a puppet that you currently use in your setting.

Education and Training - Level 5 Diploma (TQUK)

This course is suitable for teachers, trainers and tutors working in Further Education, Adult and Community Learning or work-based training within Public, Private, Voluntary or community organisations.

This course can only be taken by those who are employed or in a placement and there are minimum requirements on producing evidence of hours of work, lesson observations and formal mentoring arrangements.  From 1 September 2024, the course will be called the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (Further Education and Skills).
