CELTA - Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU ATTEND ONE OF THE CELTA TASTER SESSIONS BEFORE APPLYING FOR THIS COURSE AS IT WILL OFFER YOU A COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW OF WHAT THE COURSE ENTAILS.
CELTA courses are accredited at Level 5 (equivalent to 2nd Year of University) by the University of Cambridge and will lead to an internationally recognised qualification which will enable you to teach English as a Foreign Language both in Britain and abroad.

CELTA - Taster
This is a short course which is designed to give you an understanding of the CELTA course. It will enable you to learn about what the CELTA course covers, in particular the demands of the course and finally what you can do after you have attained the CELTA qualification.
Please note it is highly recommended you attend one of these Tasters before considering a place on the CELTA course itself.
Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
This course will be delivered online.
If you lead a team of internal quality assurance staff in the workplace or educational or training environment, then this is the appropriate qualification for you.
Create the Puppet Workshop
You will learn how to use puppets in all areas of the curriculum. This workshop, led by Arts Practitioner, Manju Gregory, is an active day for teachers and TA s working in nursery and primary. You will learn practical techniques for making and using puppets in your setting. Resources will be provided but please bring scissors, felt tip pens, pencils, PVA glue and tape. You could also bring any scrap material, buttons and ribbon. Please bring a puppet that you currently use in your setting.
Education and Training - Level 3 Award (TQUK)
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is the introductory teaching qualification for teaching adults or training adults in a college or further educational or working environment. You are not required to be teaching already as this course will give you a foundation of knowledge. However, it is also suitable for those who have just started a teaching role (in-service) or those who have been teaching or training for a while but have no specific teaching qualifications.
Education and Training - Level 5 Diploma (TQUK)
This course is suitable for teachers, trainers and tutors working in Further Education, Adult and Community Learning or work-based training within Public, Private, Voluntary or community organisations.
This course can only be taken by those who are employed or in a placement and there are minimum requirements on producing evidence of hours of work, lesson observations and formal mentoring arrangements. From 1 September 2024, the course will be called the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (Further Education and Skills).
GLA_SEND Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties Certificate Level 2 NCFE CACHE
This qualification course is suitable for those interested in or already working in education, health care or social care (e.g. teaching staff or care staff) and is an opportunity to enhance understanding of dyslexia and other learning difficulties

Taster - Teaching as a Career
This brief taster session will provide a thorough understanding of the teaching and training courses available at RHACC ranging from Level 2 to Level 5 including the entry requirements for each course; the possible career progression routes and key considerations in the current teaching and training environment.
Understanding Autism - Level 3 Certificate
This level 3 blended course (with tutor workshops and online digital platform learning) will equip learners with a strong knowledge of autism including how to support individuals with the condition, the relevant legislative framework, the therapeutic interventions available and the safeguarding responsibilities.
