Manos Kalamenios

Tutor

Manos teaches Mouldmaking, Slipcasting, Surface decoration and Masterclass in Colour and Ceramics. Prior to his career in ceramics,  with a degree in culinary arts,  Manos worked for 14 years as a Chef in hotels and resorts such as the Four Seasons but his great passion is ceramics. What started as  part-time study in Art and Design in 2006 led to a first-class BA in Fine Art with Honours in 2012 and then graduating with a Masters in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art in 2016.

He is an active practicing ceramicist with his own studio. His passion for ceramics and extensive knowledge for the material led him to exhibit within the UK, Asia and Europe in galleries, Biennales and museums, public installations, private collectors such as Sir James Dyson, to hotels commissions and Michelin star restaurants around the globe.

“I feel privileged to share my knowledge with the Art community at RHACC. The College is so well equipped it makes teaching here not just enjoyable but also very exciting as I can share my passion and knowledge by utilising all the equipment available and helping students learn new things and achieve results equivalent to degree level”.
