H2020 Statement regarding COVID-19 Coronavirus Outbreak

We are contacting you to update you on how H2020 are responding to the health risks presented by Coronavirus (COVID-19). Guidance from the Department of Education is currently, for the main college (RHACC) to stay open although we are waiting to hear if England's schools (and therefore colleges) will be asked to close from Friday.  The current plan for RHACC is that all face-to-face teaching and other activities at the college are stopping from Monday.

However, due to uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak, along with government guidance to limit non-essential contact, H2020 have made the difficult decision to postpone all our upcoming activities until after Easter.  All our activities are aimed at bringing people together in a social situation and as our events do not have any accreditation or exams associated with them it would seem in people's best interests to avoid unnecessary contact.  This includes all Community Clubs, Focus Groups, Taster days, conferences and upcoming training.  We can assure you that we have not taken this decision lightly and we hope to reschedule as much as we can, as soon as it is safe to do so.

We will be reviewing the situation after Easter and will be taking Government advice on safe working practices.  Therefore, as of today all H2020 activities have been postponed.

We realise that this is a difficult and changing situation but please rest assured that we will keep you up to date when the programme starts back again.

We wish you all the best and hope that you look after yourself as much as possible in the coming weeks.

Kind regards,

The H2020 Team
