Are you aged 20 years old or over? Interested in a College Bursary?

If your household income is less than 30,000 a year then we can support you, through the hardship bursary, with the cost of your childcare.

How much will I get?

100% of the cost of childcare can be awarded when using the college crèche at Parkshot campus.

When use of the college crèche is not possible, the College will cover childcare costs up to £65 per day per child, up to a maximum of 2 children (an average of £100 per day at weekends), to cover timetabled classes. Childcare must be supplied by an OFSTED registered childcare provider.

How to apply?

To apply, you need to complete the Hardship Application form online or in person and submit the essential documentary evidence.

Evidence Required:

  • If you live in a household which is in receipt of a means tested qualifying benefit you can prove your entitlement by providing a benefit awarding letter, which must be dated within the past three months.
  • If you live in a household with an income of less than £30,000 net a year but do NOT receive any benefits, you will need to provide proof of income for all adult members of the household, this includes:

– Current Council Tax Bill or Tenancy Agreement

– Bank statements for the past three consecutive months for each adult

– Payslips for the past three consecutive months for each adult

Please note that you may be eligible for the Early Education Funding (EEF). For more information, please visit the following website: https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs

What childcare providers can I choose?

You can get a place in our crèche at our Parkshot campus or book childcare with one of our childminders at our Hillcroft site. If these options are not suitable to you then you may use an external childcare provider of your choice.
