Feeling anxious about upcoming job interviews? This one-off session is designed to equip you with the tools you need to make your job hunting more effective and less daunting. You'll learn simple tricks and techniques to understand what to expect from your interview, how to present yourself in the best light, and how to practice feeling more confident in your answers. This course is perfect for anyone looking to improve their interview skills and land their dream job.

How to prepare for your interview
The importance of the first impression
Effective answers to competency-based interview questions and practice
Preparation of the Elevator speech to answer the question Tell me about yourself
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

There are no other formal entry requirements for this course.
You are expected to have an A4 writing pad, a ring-binder or folders as well as pencils, a rubber, a ruler and a highlighter pen.
To successfully complete this course, you must commit to 100% attendance and punctuality.
This session will start and end with a self-assessment of knowledge and skills. Feedback from peers and the facilitator will help everyone to achieve the aims of the session, in a constructive and supportive environment.
Please talk to your tutor about other employability workshops the college has to offer. You may also want to consider the 6- week New Direction employability course that leads to a Level 1 employability qualification.
During the sessions we will practice answering interview questions so it will be helpful if you can bring a job description for a role that you might be interested in.
