Are you interested in understanding the issues surrounding safeguarding, Prevent, radicalisation and the promotion of British Values? Then this course is designed for you. You'll gain a deeper understanding of safeguarding, relevant legislation and how to address issues like human rights and hate crime. It's more important than ever to be informed, and this course will equip you with the knowledge to promote safeguarding and British Values in your community.
This course covers:
Principles of safeguarding
The importance of British Values
The Prevent duty and its importance in society
The importance of online safety
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
You will have Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English). If you don't have proof of an English qualification, you'll need to take a short assessment.
You will complete a short course application and attend a brief online interview to ensure the course is right for you.
You must have access to the necessary IT equipment and internet service to study online. A PC, laptop, or tablet is recommended.
You'll submit all your assignments through the online learning platform. You'll have a dedicated assessor who will provide feedback via the platform. Distance learning allows you to study at your own pace, and this course can open doors to further learning in related fields.
