Are you passionate about mental health and wellbeing? With statistics showing that many adults experience mental health challenges, understanding these issues is more important than ever. This Level 3 Distance Learning course will give you a deeper understanding of mental health, how attitudes are changing, and the skills to support others. It's perfect for those in health and social care, vocational roles, or anyone wanting to make a difference.
This course covers:
Understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing
Promoting mental health and wellbeing
Mental health problems: associated issues and consequences
Understanding mental ill health
Working in mental health
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Minimum Level 2 English skills.
Sufficient IT skills to access and use online learning materials.
Ability to work at Level 3, demonstrated by prior Level 2 qualifications (ideally in a relevant subject like Mental Health and Wellbeing, Health and Social Care, or Counselling) or relevant work experience.
Completion of a short course application form and a brief online interview.
You will be assessed through written responses for each of the five units. A dedicated assessor will provide feedback and monitor your progress. Our support team is available to answer your questions. After completing this course, you could progress to further studies in mental health or related fields.
This course may be funded via the National Skills Fund if:
Your income is below the applicable regional threshold (we can provide guidance).
OR you do not hold a Level 3 qualification.
You must also:
Currently live in England.
Have been a UK/EU resident for 3+ years (for purposes other than study).
