This workshop will show you how to use social media to boost your job search. You'll learn how to network, build your personal brand and find opportunities you never knew existed. This course is perfect for anyone looking to take their career to the next level using the power of social media.
This course covers:
Developing Your Personal Brand: How to develop and showcase your personal brand or your online profile.
Uncovering Hidden Opportunities: How to connect you to opportunities that are otherwise never made available to job seekers because they aren't posted on job boards.
Building Your Network: How to build your professional networking contacts, which are crucial to your job search.
Researching Your Ideal Role: How to research industries, companies, and positions of interest.
Increasing Your Visibility: How to be more visible to hiring managers, recruiters, and other decision makers.
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
No formal qualifications are required.
You must be able to use a device to access social media accounts.
You must be able to create and/or edit social media accounts.
You are expected to have an A4 writing pad, a ring-binder or folders as well as pencils, a rubber, a ruler and a highlighter pen.
To successfully complete this course, you must commit to 100% attendance and punctuality.
This session will begin and end with a self-assessment of your knowledge and skills. You'll receive constructive feedback from your peers and the facilitator in a supportive environment. This will help you achieve your goals for the session.
