Ever wondered how terrariums work and how they thrive on their own? In this course, you'll discover the secrets of these self-contained ecosystems and learn how to care for them. Perfect for plant lovers and beginners alike, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to create and maintain your own miniature garden. If you are a Carer you be be eligible for support, speak to our friendly staff at our reception for assistance.

Course Content

This course covers:
Introduction to Terrariums: History and science behind building a terrarium, including plant selection and the importance of activated charcoal.
Hands-on Terrarium Building: Create your own terrarium using supplied jars, plants (Fittonia and Ivy), pebbles, and moss.
Care and Maintenance: Learn how to care for your terrarium and watch it develop over time.
All materials provided: Jar, plants, and tools are all supplied for your use.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Open to all
Receive enrolment assistance at Parkshot if you are a Carer.

First Class Requirements

All contents, Jar and tools are supplied, we will send you home with a bag to pop your terrarium in and also a care guide with our details on if you have any further questions.

Assessment Methods

We will monitor your progress through observation and discussion during the practical activities.
