This course is designed for individuals with at least Level 1 Excel skills who want to develop intermediate Excel abilities to succeed in AAT Level 3. Over six weeks, this course will guide you from foundational skills-such as navigating workbooks, formatting worksheets, and using essential formulas and chart functions-to applying Excel for processing accounting data in the workplace.
By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to tackle the spreadsheet components of AAT Level 3.
You will be able to:
- Make well formatted spreadsheets including charts and pivot tables
- Use a range of functions to solve accounting related problems (e.g. SUM, AVERAGE, IF, LOOKUP, SUMIFS, GOAL SEEK and more).
- Forecast
- Link sheets
- Perform data validation and conditional formatting
- And more
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
This course is designed for individuals with at least Level 1 Excel skills who want to develop intermediate Excel abilities to succeed in AAT Level 3.
Basic accounting knowledge, including familiarity with accounting cycles and terminology, is required. We highly recommend completing the Introduction to Accounting and Finance course (B01127) or having working experience in a finance role before enrolling. If you are not familiar with accounting then you should consider our alternative Excel Level 2 course (B00114)

You must attend every class to make the most of this course.
There is no formal assessment but your tutor will provide feedback on all exercises.
