Want to immerse yourself in the world of jazz this Easter? Richmond Jazz School offers an intensive jazz experience where you can learn and jam with fellow musicians. This three-day course draws on the expertise of our nationally recognised team of tutors, covering all areas of jazz for instrumentalists and vocalists. It's a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, explore new techniques, and connect with other jazz enthusiasts.

Theory and Improvisation Workshops

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.
Before the course starts, we will contact you to complete a background information sheet.
This information helps us understand your experience and abilities.
We use this to create balanced ensembles and groups before the course begins.
Instrument, notebook, pencil and music stand if you own one.
Attendance throughout the course will help you gain maximum benefit from the course.
While the main focus is on enjoying and developing your love for jazz, you can set personal goals for the course. Our tutors will support you in achieving these goals and reflect on your progress with you.

Each day runs from 10:00 to 17:00 and includes a wide range of activities. The emphasis is on developing material for performance opportunities throughout the course and in the evening jam sessions.
